Who moves up and who moves down over the Spring? Can a GA team catch VDA?

VDA got clowned by Arlington but has beaten Fairfax, NVA, Beach, Revolution this season.

What happened to 2011 VDA? They were doing pretty good I thought and they were pretty competitive vs Arlington in previous year. Did they lose players? I thought BP brought players with him.

Nobody said VDA was special. Their score against Arlington does stock out though. I thought it would’ve been closer but Arlington is pretty obviously much further ahead. I guess we’ll see how special Arlington is or if they are. Those coaches don’t seem to know how to keep it going once players are in high school and teams don’t benefit from players that have matured early anymore.

That Arlington is built for the long run....dont see them losing step anytime soon unless they can not retain

I’m assuming no one that get playing time with Arlington will leave? How hard is it to break into that team?

Would have to be a top 3 player on the team to break in. Team has been together for a long time and are tight. Coaches won’t voluntarily break that up unless it is a dominant player.

Good to know they aren’t shutting out everyone else and only keep current roster. Anyone has insight on any positions they are looking to strengthen? Would you likely make the team if you are offensive/ defensive player?

Some of the key players are already looking for new places to land in the new season. Kids have been told that other players are untouchable and if that is the case why stay?!?!

doubt it since the ranking app is ecnl biased when it comes to strength of schedule, so even if you finish 0-10, score no goals, you will still have a high ranking because you dont play anyone outside of ECNL

look at the 2011 NCFC Youth
0-8-3 in the league. 2 goals for, 37 against, but somehow they are 12th in NC and it is because their SOS is #4 in the state

Who CAN repeat ninth grade? Some of you people are off your rockers. Your kid isn't special or she'd not have you considering having her repeat a grade just for soccer. Likely, she is low mid to low talent or you wouldn't be considering holding her back hoping an extra year of maturing will make her stand out.

Nobody around here is world class talent or we'd all know it. And no, being called up to the Guatemalan, Burkina-Fasso or whatever national team doesn't count as "world class.'

There will be several new girls coming to the Arlington 2011 team this tryout from other local ECNL teams They will clip the weaker players at the bottom and reload and be stocked tip top to bottom by the time hs rolls around. Plenty of talent coming to their tryout/ID sessions/spring practices.

Agreed. Why you angry though? With SY nobody is breaking any rules, maybe academic re-set at 9th grade sounds like a good decision for some especially with Oct. b'day. Sorry for asking gee wiz! Breath Arlington dad your low level dd's spot is safe for now. RL is calling...

VDA 2011 had a bad day against Arlington. Tied for 4th in MA and have beaten union, NVA, and beach in league play. VDA cannot score goals. They could not score last year either. They do not have a dominant striker and therefore rely on their coach manufacturing goals and set pieces occasionally. This will change when VDA’s best 2011 plays 2011 this spring instead of age groups up.

Nothing really happened. Just a bad day and Arlington 2011 is very strong.

those two players didn’t have an impact. And if they didn’t score goals last year they sure made it to the playoffs pretty easily. Not sure if series….

So it sounds like yall are pulling players down. Sounds like a mess. Is this to get ahead of the agenda changes?!
