Union and VDA 2011 each have a win, a loss, and 2 draws in 4 matches since ECNL started for this age.

VDA beat Union twice last year. Tied and beat BRAVE last year. Beat FX Union this year. Arlington stomped VDA though so who cares?

VDA got clowned by Arlington but has beaten Fairfax, NVA, Beach, Revolution this season.

What happened to 2011 VDA? They were doing pretty good I thought and they were pretty competitive vs Arlington in previous year. Did they lose players? I thought BP brought players with him.

Nobody said VDA was special. Their score against Arlington does stock out though. I thought it would’ve been closer but Arlington is pretty obviously much further ahead. I guess we’ll see how special Arlington is or if they are. Those coaches don’t seem to know how to keep it going once players are in high school and teams don’t benefit from players that have matured early anymore.

Yep, they accumulated talent around their core because they've been so dominant over time. Only way they begin to fall back is if they lose key pieces to other clubs.

For the rest of the area, talent is spread out amongst the rest of the clubs. People thought VDA 2011 was going to be better with players brought over by BP but did it really get better? He only brought one field player, a striker, from what was a pretty successful run for old FCV last year and they still can't score, and they can't seem to defend against better teams.

In a few years this picture will be more clear, after girls quit or stop playing NL.

Nobody thought the addition of 2 players from FCV would do much for VDA.

And nobody thought Union+Brave would be good after merging the 2011 teams. Old Union 2011 was playing good soccer but not winning. BRAVE just played kickball and didn’t win either. Now they are merged and still can’t win AND play kickball. NVA got better, Arlington got better, VDA is probably a little better. Onion is worse after merging. LOL.

Would have to be a top 3 player on the team to break in. Team has been together for a long time and are tight. Coaches won’t voluntarily break that up unless it is a dominant player.
