| I wonder if it is school dependent. I just checked the college applications data from our HS for last year and 95 applied and 27 got in. |
| This is for UGA OOS |
|
Here is what is says for UGA OOS:
To compete with other applicants, you should have a GPA of 4.14 or higher, and take challenging classes like AP or IB courses. The middle 50% of admitted students have GPAs of 4.13–4.38, ACT scores of 31–34, and SAT scores of 1370–1500 His SAT is high end and GPA weighted is in that range and 2 varsity sports |
It's the UGA gpa that matters. You might as well cross of the gpa on his transcript. Calculate the UGA one and let us know |
Also no offense but they won't know or care if he's social and outgoing. My social and outgoing kid who has 3.83/4.62 34 ACT was just deferred. What APs is he in? That does matter. My other kid had hard classes and got in EA but o only had 2 B's in HS. |
| DS had 1490 and 3.9 uw GPA along with above average ECs. His first choice was UT but he was rejected. Didn’t apply to UNC. He did get into UGA but choose Wisconsin and loves it. Was also rejected at Michigan and Florida. |
So funny - my kid almost exact same but slightly lower ACT at 33. Weighted 4.8. Rejected UF TX. Into Wisconsin and UGA but chose UGA. |
Last year or are you just referring to early action? |
