Newly dating somone- what to wear to his house NYE?

Anonymous
lol by all means show up to his house with a duffel bag full of PJs, toiletries, and change of clothes for the next day. And definitely wear a short slinky cocktail dress for what's being billed as a cozy night in.

(... Seriously, OP, please go with the jeans and cashmere sweater).

I'd do a cute co-ord set
Jeans and top of your liking - fitted tee, bodysuit, sweater
I'd keep the PJ's cute -- two piece set of your liking
Comfy shoes to include a pair of socks

As soon as you walk in the door ask him where you can put your PJs. 🎉

Nah just go right into the bedroom and clear out a drawer.

Or a nice skirt and sweater.

No need to pack a suitcase. Just slide an extra pair of undies and a toothbrush in your purse.

Wear something that offers easy access and is easy to remove like a short dress. Skip jeans as they take effort to remove. Skip the sleepwear, bring condoms and have fun. Please don't drink too much but a light buzz is a good idea. Definitely get started in front of the fireplace! We have one in our bedroom and on a cold winter night it's a fun place to be.

This. Something you’d wear to a fancy restaurant for dinner but that’s comfortable enough to “cook”

Jeans and cashmere sweater. You can wear that the next day. You won't want to put on the dress or skirt again in the morning. It will feel like a walk of shame outfit.

This is the standard - what can you wear the next day and what do you need for an overnight.

If he wears a button down in the evening, you can steal it to sleep in a suggestively unbutton what you need to in the morning. If he does not, you can always help yourself to his closet to find something you like.

This. Plus an extra pair of underwear in my purse. Don't bring PJs. You can sleep in underwear and something of his.

OMG no. He asked her over for a cozy night in to cook a meal together and play cards. Obviously we all know what’s really on the menu here, but at least pretend to play along.

Have fun, OP - how exciting!

Unless this was a planned sleepover, you should absolutely not bring something to sleep in. You sleep naked, or you ask him for a soft t-shirt.

You can leave something cozy in your car for the next morning. Hand him your keys and say something along the lines of "hey, can you grab the bag out of my trunk, I have some extra clothes in there" in the morning. You absolutely don't want this to look like you have a plan.

Yep. Or if you want to continue the charade in the morning, “Can you check my trunk? I think my gym bag is in there and might have something I could wear and a toothbrush”

You need an elaborate story for how it got there. Like maybe there was a snowstorm once and you thought you’d be stranded trying to get home from volunteering to donate blood with a special antidote from being bitten by a rare spider and you packed a bag and then whoops, it’s still there.
