Do most school write letters to Santa?

+1. I went to a Christian day school and we didn't do this even in the 1980s/90s.

Look at the Santa debates on DCUM - how old kids are to believe, etc etc. No teacher wants to wade into that even if they are 100% sure all the kids are Christian and celebrate Christmas and do Santa at home!

George Washington
Abraham Lincoln
Dental Health Month

Now, it is African American History. No more George or Abe.

What a shame the other months were too full to fit in American history and dental health.

Isn’t it horrible how kids graduate from elementary school without ever having heard of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and … teeth?

A 6th gr teacher at our Christian school said something like “You know kids, when your parents put ‘Santa’s’ presents out…” and this kid started crying because he still believed. The teacher thought she was going to get fired. My own kid in the class still talks about that day!

I have never done this as an activity at any school. It also has never been an activity at Sunday School or church.

Shrug. Consider the source.

Shrug. Consider the source.

The point of the matter is that you find an assignment on a letter to Santa offensive, but choose to shrug off this other assignment.

This source didn’t make up the story! Do share another source from your preferred MSM that covers this. Curious to see how they cover it, if at all.

1. Not everyone is Christian
2. Even some Christians are anti-Santa (I grew up in a very religious household where Santa was shunned, bc according to my parents, Christmas should only be about Jesus).

From the comments she responded she said
Everyone is the class is Christian
2nd. Some will do it when the other kids are out
3rd. Who ares

Again, TikTok isn't real. It's mostly propaganda and people trying to make money. This woman on TikTok is probably a Christian Fundamentalist who is trying to create outrage where none is necessary. The more outrage she creates, the more her Tok gets shared, which means she gets more followers, and therefore makes more money. Again, TikTok isn't real. Repeat after me: TikTok isn't real.

Today, a Christian market was attacked in Magdeburg, Germany. Reports of 11 fatalities and 60 injuries. Definitely a hate crime. Please stop putting down Christmas, the celebration of Jesus Christ, around Christmas time. Enough!

Christmas Market = capitalism, not celebration of Jesus Christ. It's pretty sick that you are equating all this commercialism and Santa BS with actual Christianity. It's not. You're a terrible Christian if this is what you believe. Only MAGA Christians think this way, and we all know they are not true believers.

Oh dear. Time for someone to go back to their troll bridge. Here’s some reading of the Grade 1 social studies curriculum featuring good ole George:

I didn’t find an assignment on writing a letter to Santa to be offensive. I said I never heard of such a thing.

I don’t consider the Daily Mail to be credible. It’s part of the vast right wing media network. It’s not credible. Yeah, it either made that up or is deliberately distorting things as outrage bait. It’s what that stupid rag does.

Can someone please summarize the Daily Mail blog post? I don't click on that shit.
