Do most school write letters to Santa?

Anonymous
When my DD attend Daniels Run - she never wrote a single letter to Santa- We had to do that at home- on TikTok I saw everyone talk on how they wrote letters to Santa and even if they did have people that didn't do Santa they will write a letter to him asking him what they wanted, Why didn't my DD school did this? Did your kids write letters to Santa in elementary school? Everything we did in December was called Holiday, same in FHS they call everything a Holiday tree etc.

You saw it on TickTok.
Maybe you should only care and ask about what you know to be true.

Why would public schools have kids write to Santa? You know that not everyone celebrates Christmas/believes in Santa, right?

Public school children should not be writing letters to Santa.

1. Not everyone is Christian
2. Even some Christians are anti-Santa (I grew up in a very religious household where Santa was shunned, bc according to my parents, Christmas should only be about Jesus).

This wasn’t even a thing when I was in elementary school in the 1970s

I taught first grade and the kids were all Christian. We did not write letters to Santa. Here is a secret: the teacher is not Santa Claus. Letters to Santa should be written at home where the parents are sure to see them!

We did study holidays in other lands around the world. This included places where Christmas was not celebrated. We also learned about Christmas in Australia and South America (where it was summer) and Europe, etc. Sweden comes to mind, too.
