Who said it’s a ‘he’? |
Yes, I appreciate OP posts - because they’re helpful to me as well! So thank you for asking. But, an ED thread answering these questions would be more illuminating: GPA SAT Income? Legacy? Feeder school? |
Actually weighted grades do give you at least some of that information, since they indicate coursework rigor. |
dont be dumber - what works for someone might not work for someone else |
How ? How is it helpful. Look at the answers. They are all over the place. If you match the same stats that does not promise you anything. |
Williams’ math department isn’t even the best amongst LACs |
| For the love of God people, 99.9% of us and our children didn't (and don't) select a college solely based on which has the best program in the universe for our major. |
THIS one million percent. I can’t imagine my child making a decision - and it’s not a “we” choice but the child’s choice - on where to apply for college based on random strangers on any social media site. Wtaf. |
+1 I'd tell you my kids' but you wont' be impressed with his ED choice anyway. |
Do you start every post with this? |
I find it hard to believe that someone that really wanted Williams will be equally happy at Berkeley (vs. Dartmouth or Amherst or even Pomona). Talk about a size difference. |
I know plenty of people who studied math at Williams and went on to do their graduate work at prestigious institutions (Harvard, Cornell, MIT). I myself and a mathematician and think highly of Williams as a school for undergraduate education in math. |
How does an AO tell this? Are these the Z list who’ve been introduced to development office already? |
Apparently not... |
You're not getting your answer on DCUM honey. |
