So why would they apply REA?

Because this was a lie by PP

Because they didn’t want to ED somewhere and commit early in year. Plenty of kids change throughout senior, plenty at this level chasing major scholarship. All that amounts to keeping options open.

Does harvard take any student who are not legacy status, not an athlete, not a first-generation student, not a musician, or not an international applicant from REA?

Yeah if you’re a once in a lifetime talent.

They do take others. I know some high level science kids that were admitted for those achievements.

I can only speak for one but it was because his mother made him. He wants to go to Stanford or some dual degree program at Penn.

we had one of these at our HS. double legacy, which apparently helps during SCEA and not RD. so try to bank that. kid preferred MIT

^**Ruins it for any other kid who actually wants to go from their school though-most DMV privates strongly discourage this type of practice.

My child got in early and hasn’t posted online and honestly all the parent stalking makes me reluctant….its supposed to be for classmates to celebrate each other and to connect with other new students

It is sad but i would just keep your college plans to yourself if your student is going to Harvard or another institution like it. Not really anything to be gained by sharing it but getting some negative comments. For people that would appreciate it and be encouraging to your student, just discuss it verbally.

My kid got into Yale and isn’t posting. Too many kids didn’t get in this week. There’s no rush.

Again no one cares about your athletic recruits in CA. This info of no use to those of us in DMV. Take it to your sub forums.

Just admit the competition is national or OOSers wouldn't be here irritating you.

If you only care about your immediate school or its closest competitors you don't even need DCUM. You can just review the spring Instagram links.
