You have completely invented a narrative that did not exist.

These racists know exactly what they are doing. They cannot accept their White principal is being replaced by a Black principal. A Black principal at Wootton? They are going crazy. See what's being posted and especially this post:

Why disrupt three schools unless needed. Someone from CO should have stepped in temporarily and determined if any of the APs was viable as an interim with support from CO

It's never about caring for Black people or Black kids.

1. The only thing the white/asian families care about is how Wootton is being labeled anti-black and racist when the accused are BLACK. There hasn’t been a white or Asian student accused of any racist acts.

2. It isn’t like the principal was beloved, but damn they did him dirty and there was NO communication to Wootton families. About of news outlets and social media posted more than we knew.

3. We had a black principal prior to Nelson.

4. If there was TRULY caring for the black community, especially in underserved areas, shouldn’t Bostic have stayed at Northwood?

I mean come on already. The bogus PR stunt of crying racism to an entire school is blowing back up in your face.

Clueless CO strikes again.

So you’re advocating that we ignore the experiences and demands of the actual Wootton BSU to appease you and your peers?

Sadly this isn’t CO. These are the racist Wootton parents who prefer we ignore Black students and staff so Doug can continue to fail in his job of ensuring basic training for teachers and adequate incident reporting.

Why are you trying to take our principal away? She has a long history at and commitment to Wheaton and seems to be very well liked. Why can’t WJ handle their own issues, whatever those might be? Leave Wheaton out of it.

Did you forget that Kim Bolden was the Black principal before Doug Nelson?

And, the principal (and at least one assistant principal) at Robert Frost Middler School is Black…presumably many of the Wootton families came from Frost. And from what I can tell, Dr. Jones is well liked and respected.

This is a ridiculous thread. The facts are the facts. The black student groups at Wootton demanded action, as they should have. There was no plot by wealthy parents to take a beloved principal from a school that needs him. There was no ill intent. Ideally MCPS would have had another option but this is what they chose.

There have been long-standing issues with racism and anti-semitism at Wootton that are upsetting to black and Jewish students. Parents of these students have been disappointed in the administration’s response while Nelson was tasked with being the leader. What I have learned from the other thread is that there are more racist and anti-semitic parents at Wootton than I realized. As a member of the Wootton community I am disappointed and disturbed and questioning who these anonymous posters are in real life.

You're suggesting they HAD to take the principal from Northwood? Absolutely not, no they didn't.

Amen. The racist Wootton parents are really embarrassing themselves and their school community.

They took the intern/AP, not the principal. The Northwood principal is back there now.

I’m wishing this was not an anonymous forum. I’d like to know who they are.

Any student will also tell you there is longstanding racism against Asian-American students with them being stereotyped and mocked on a regular basis but none of the staff cares and if anyone brings it it up they are ridiculed. This racism is out in the open and the fact that you left that out really shows what kind of person you are and speaks volumes about the parent community there.

So Doug not only failed Black and Jewish but also Asian families by ignoring hateful incidents and attacks against them? I believe you. Just one more reason why Doug had to go.

The high performing white school has a racist incident against black kids, so MCPS takes a beloved, award winning, minority administrator from the minority school and moves him to the white school with the more vocal parent community.

Looks like MCPS practicing systemic racism in real time. Who cares about the KIDS at Northwood when you need to pretend to attempt to satisfy the parents at Wootton.

That's a pretty blatant and brazen racist act by mcps. Guess it really does pay to go to a W school.

When Dodd Asian become a majority race? This statement is an utter racism in the daylight

Just FOIA MCPS and you will be surprised to see how many principals and Nelson’s director or associate superintendents at CO did not take the “mandatory training” . Monifa created the anti racism audit and related mandatory training and she and her friends missed most of the training?
