Northwood High School is a majority minority school (more black and brown than white and asian), statistically one of the lower performing schools in the district. This school does not have a super active parent community.
Wootton High School is a majority majority school (more asian and white than black and brown), statistically one of the higher performing schools in the district. This school does have a super active parent community.

The high performing white school has a racist incident against black kids, so MCPS takes a beloved, award winning, minority administrator from the minority school and moves him to the white school with the more vocal parent community.

Looks like MCPS practicing systemic racism in real time. Who cares about the KIDS at Northwood when you need to pretend to attempt to satisfy the parents at Wootton.

That's a pretty blatant and brazen racist act by mcps. Guess it really does pay to go to a W school.

It would be racist if they said Black principals could only lead schools with majority minority populations, or high FARMS populations. This is the opposite.

2 students recently spelled out the n word using scrabble pieces at GHS. Won't get the same attention.

Insiders call this the Moran move. Peter’s grandfather did this when he was in Mcps CO, and young Pete keeps up the family tradition.

The response to racism is to take away from a minority school with no communication or time for transition. Taking away a trusted adult, mentor of many, impacting a vulnerable community.

OP has it completely mixed up. Putting the Black principal at Wootton was NOT to appease the white Wootton parents, it was to fix the racist culture at the school. Many white Wootton parents are seething about Doug’s removal and did not want a new one.

You have completely invented a narrative that did not exist.
