How Trump Turned America’s Most Hispanic County Red

Yes, if you voted for Trump you are a racist and sexist. You can be Latino and be both those things. Women can be and often are sexist toward other women.

Trump is a convicted rapist, he spews racist and sexist garbage at every rally, and he courts white supremist groups. Every voter knew and saw this. If you voted for him that is what you are so why not just admit it? Own it!

You are really showing the way for Democrats to win back voters, because insulting, shaming and name-calling people works so well

I know it’s an alien concept to you, but those of us who voted for Trump did so because we prefer his policies. We do not care about his rhetoric at all. Rhetoric doesn’t hurt me, but the disastrous policies of the Biden-Harris administration did.

Exactly. Also, PP doesn't understand he is not a convicted rapist lol. It was a civil trial and he lost to J.C. on a tort. Not rape, but PP no doubt listens to agenda news instead of doing any research.

How you can keep saying the border is an issue when you voted for someone who tanked a deal that could have helped the border, I don't understand.... Was that bill? Perfect hell no but it's a step in the right direction and something Harris could have built on over time like she said multiple times she wanted to do.
It's like you purposely don't listen to anything the Democrats are saying and then complain that you don't hear them saying it

And you purposely keep ignoring the fact that Biden completely neglected the border for almost his entire administration - until he realized it was a losing political issue. Then - and only then - did he write his own EO which dramatically cut the numbers at the border. Before writing his EO, he insisted he couldn't do anything at all, his "hands were tied," etc. It was all BS. He could have signed that EO on his first day in office, but instead he chose to reverse all of Trump's border EOs. The catastrophic border will always be his legacy.

That’s how I will remember Biden. Inflation, the catastrophic border crisis and the inept Afghanistan withdrawal. I think he’s one of the worst Presidents of recent times. I have no idea what these liberal media figures who praise him see. A man who had to withdraw from the presidential race because he was losing in a landslide (supposedly Trump was winning over 400 electoral votes against him) is a bad President who has been rejected by the people.

You have a selective memory. I remember him managing the Covid crisis, increasing healthcare coverage, capping prescription drug prices, getting inflation under control (something that was experienced all over the world), increasing US manufacturing jobs.

I'll remember him bumbling around and costing the Democrats this election because of his oversized ego.

Not sure if those specific people are racist, but you must be aware that there is racism in Latino communities.

About a quarter of Latino adults say they have personally experienced discrimination or unfair treatment from other Latinos. Having darker skin and being born outside the United States are associated with an increased chance of experiencing this type of discrimination, according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted in March 2021. At the same time, Latinos say they are as likely to experience discrimination or unfair treatment from non-Latinos as from fellow Latinos, regardless of skin color or their country of birth.

Exactly. Have you encountered lighter pigment Latinos towards darker pigmented Latinos? And if you're Mexican versus Argentine, forget it if you are from Honduras or Puerto Rican. Everyone (Latino or not) racist. It is F hilarious how people think they are above another person

So now the excuse for Latinos voting for Trump is that they are racist? Can't wait to see you divide Nigerian Americans along tribal lines, or Jewish Americans among ethnic lines. It must be exhausting to see everything through racial lines.

+1000 Biden will be remembered for his over sized ego and his under sized leadership skills. Better than Trump is the only positive thing in his legacy. I don't despise him as much as Trump but he does make my blood boil.

+1

And the PP is not looking at those issues critically.

What was the withdrawal such a CF?
Why did we have inflation? What were the alternatives? How have other countries fared?
Biden has been deporting way more people than Trump, and at a higher rate, according to this RW group.

Ignorance and disinformation was the death of America.

Hispanic people are not immune to ignorance or disinformation. They believed RW propaganda, just like many people of other ethnicities/races.

Democrats believe all Latinos are in one voting block (despite being from diverse nations and cultures) and they all have being pro-illegal immigration as their number one issue. The latest election results show how clueless the white progressives who run the Democrat party are. They honestly believed all Latinos would vote for them because they want illegal immigration. They honestly believed white women would vote for them because of abortion. They don’t talk to actual voters and it shows in their out of touch political messaging.

The funny thing is a Latino Democrat who represents one of these districts, Henry Cuellar, tried to talk to the Biden administration since the beginning of the administration and tell them how opposed to illegal immigration his constituents are. He said the Biden administration never listened to him, and they only listened to pro-illegal immigration special interest groups.

Yes! I've seen him in many interviews over the past few years trying to explain this but the progressive wing has Democrats in a chokehold. It is maddening to watch.

AOC backed a primary challenger to Cuellar that lost badly, primarily I think because he’s anti-abortion. But the truth that the Progressives are finding out the hard way is that he in fact just represents his constituents. And the question for Democrats is whether they would prefer a pro life, pro immigration control Democrat to represent those people or a Republican that holds those very same views.

This shows that the progressives DO NOT have a chokehold on Democrats.

I think the other thing that Republicans need to pay attention to is that downballot House Republicans, overall did not do as well as Trump did. Riding his coattails and embracing MAGA *is not* the way of the future for Republicans.
