Yes. I knew a woman who was in love with her husband and also had a long time emotional affair which inevitably led to a physical intense and deep loving affair with a long time male friend of them both. It actually worked out where DH never knew.

I do too but her husband did find out and they went on to stay married for many years because he loved her so much, her too. The affair did end and that was it, even though it had been very intense and long term.
