"And nearly half (45%) of voters said they are financially worse off now than they were four years ago. That’s a rate of dissatisfaction higher than in any presidential election going back to 2008, when 42% of voters said they were worse off in the wake of that year’s financial crisis. Just one in four voters say they are better off now than they were four years ago."

Umm we couldn’t even get toilet paper at the end of the Trump administration.

That’s because you weren’t prepared. I never ran out. The economy was so good under Trump that my family was stocked up on everything before the pandemic hit. Don’t blame Trump for your lack of preparedness.

There was plenty of toilet paper. It was hoarded (misallocated) due to the chaos and division Trump created.

The hoarding was going to happen whoever the president was when Covid hit. However, most people feel they are worse off regardless of what the elites on dcum say.

The economy sucks - because it suck’s less than Europe’s doesn’t make it good.

Female turnout in the US election is set to be high, according to early exit polls that could prove to be a boost for Kamala Harris.

Early data shows women accounting for some 53 per cent of the vote, six points ahead of men, and one point up on the last election.

In another possible boost for Harris, voters think the state of democracy is the most important issue at this election

Ms Harris has put abortion and the threat to democracy posed by Donald Trump at the centre of her campaign.

The exit polls showed 35 per cent of voters say the future of democracy in the US is a top concern, ahead of the economy (31 per cent), abortion (18 per cent) immigration (14 per cent).

Millions of voters across the US have flocked to polling stations with reports of record turnout in a number of states, including key battlegrounds such as Georgia and North Carolina.
