Harris "closing argument" speech next Tuesday on the mall

You always did, Blech

Actually I didn’t. I think she is very telegenic and has a nice smile and disarming demeanor. But I expected her to shift gears to something more detailed and focused. She is the famed prosecutor. I expected less airy statements. So after I watched and watched and the words just never really answered my questions, I started to notice her hands are always in the camera view waiving around… even when the camera is tight on her head. And her nasal speech… Once I realized she is mostly froth, I started to notice the mannerisms and they are annoying!

I have mixed feelings about this plan. It feels like a "big swing" that could miss. I think I'd prefer a safer play like a swing state.

On the other hand I do think I'd try to take the day off and take my DD to see it if I could. And I hate crowds. But I'd like my DD to see Harris making this argument on that stage no matter what the outcome of the election is.

Wait a minute.

She’s giving her “closing argument”
seven days in advance???

Makes no sense.

We have three, but that isn't the point.

Serious question…. Is she completely giving up?

Closing argument in a locale that does not impact the result in any way….7 days in advance.

This is what they are giving us while at the same time constantly begging for more donations.

It's a "closing argument" that will be used in ads and run on news for the last week of the campaign. When she will be delivering speeches and doing interviews hitting the same notes in key swing states right up until the polls close.

It's not actually her last campaign appearance. There is no benefit to such a speech given right before election day when the footage can't be used for much and it will get minimal play in national media which will be focused more on voters at the poll and any early data in the "horserace coverage."

Some of you don't understand campaign media strategy and it shows.

It has 3 electoral votes, by the city is so Democrat leaning, it’s a waste to campaign there.

Do any states have 3 or less?

N Dakota, S Dakota, Wyoming, Vermont, Alaska

She’s only going to repeat the same tired lines from the teleprompter. And you know it.

Disappointing is also how I’m beginning to regard her.

Not picking Shapiro for VP will be her undoing. Walz is just an odd guy with an oppositional personality, and it comes through.

She did this to herself. What a wasted opportunity.

You were not voting for her anyway. This has nothing to do with Shapiro.

I was an enthusiastic Biden voter. I am a pragmatic Harris voter. And I’m still voting. I’m in MD. She’ll win easily, even without my help if I decided not to.

But it won’t matter. She’s not going to win PA, and it doesn’t matter anyway.

Yesterday ... took the entire day off and had Obama campaign for her.

Today ... spent 3 minutes outside her house calling Trump, Hitler - took no questions, and is taking the rest of the day off.

😂 Sombody's in trouble.

She's not taking days off -- she's been doing long sit down interviews like the one that was released yesterday with NBC. She gets great media overage in those interviews and gets asked about swing states issues that then make local news in those states. It is well worth the hours of time those take to prep for and film. She doing plenty of stumping too but the interviews are really important too.

Long sit down interviews?? Please. They take less than an hour to tape.

She is doing far less stumping than she should be doing, which I find worrisome.

So Kamala going to DC would be equivalent to Trump making final speech to North Dakota.

Waste of time and resources.

Why are PPs so confused to think this is the only rally or speech she's doing this week? Harris is doing a "closing argument" tour of all states, of which DC is one of them.

Do none of you watch the news? She's doing teh same "closing argument" in all the swing states too. She's going everywhere: GA, NC, Wisconsin, Mich, PA and even just announced she's going to rally with Collin Allred in TX.

She's going everywhere. It's all part of her "closing argument".

DC one just has it's own thread because this is the DMV and we all live here and can attend.

LOL exactly. DC is a stop on the "closing argument" tour and not all she's doing. Trump is making a stop in NY (where he won't win) and has been doing rallies in red states he's sure to win too. Also, her speech in DC will also attract whole of DMV if they want to go (it's easy commute for supporters in MD or VA if they are interested in seeing her live).

Meanwhile Trump will probably hit three or four swing states that day.

She’s given up and this proves it.

same reason trump is giving a "closing speech" in NY that will vote against him. just for the presidential framing and optics.

harris is giving speeches right now in MI, WI, GA, TX, etc.

Trump’s closing speech will be him swaying to random tunes for 40 minutes but ok.
