I have mixed feelings about this plan. It feels like a "big swing" that could miss. I think I'd prefer a safer play like a swing state.

On the other hand I do think I'd try to take the day off and take my DD to see it if I could. And I hate crowds. But I'd like my DD to see Harris making this argument on that stage no matter what the outcome of the election is.

It's a once in a lifetime historic opportunity for us to see a potential first-time woman leader of our country speak. And with all of the sane R's lining up to support her, I feel like this is the unity ticket that is open to different views and thoughts and I want my daughter to see the example of sane leadership with unity as strength.
Donald Trump is getting propped up by trolls and foreign dictators who want US destabilized. It will do nothing for us to have another woman's march after Trump wins since he'll have unfettered power for 4 years and the impact will be devastating.

Let's have the women's march and save democracy march now to PREVENT him from ruling so we can all sleep at night in 2025!

my relatives in PA have been going to their rallies too and showing support.

Same reason Trump is doing a huge Madison Square Garden rally this Friday -- he'll get way more national press there than he will in any swing state and it has better potential to be carried by major networks.

It's the only way to be in all the swing states at once -- by going to the national press with something they can't resist covering.

It's not the only time she'll make a speech before the election. She'll give the same "closing message" speech she's been giving in MI, WI this week and will give in GA, TX and NC before the DC speech. She's ending her tour in DC but she's been hitting all the swing states in person hard.

Hillary Clinton lost Michigan by only 10,000 votes and decided last minute to never visit Michigan in person since Hillary thought they'd eke out a win without trying there.

Meanwhile Trump will probably hit three or four swing states that day.

same reason trump is giving a "closing speech" in NY that will vote against him. just for the presidential framing and optics.

harris is giving speeches right now in MI, WI, GA, TX, etc.
