What’s your family rule for leftovers for lunch? Would you send a leftover Costco chicken bake?

I know someone who ended up in the hospital with massive food poisoning by being an idiot and eating a room temperature TV dinner that they left in a filing cabinet at work.

My kids take cold things in an insulated lunch box with an ice pack and warm things in a thermos. No need to send your kids with unsafe lunches.

Autistic kids eat the same food every day for lunch.

We have no rules per se for lunch. If they want leftovers - that's what they get. Also, we have lots of thermos containers (lunch size) that keep warmed up leftovers hot enough for lunch time.

How is that even possible?

New poster. You could put leftover chicken over a salad.

They were talking about chicken bake.

Are you poor OP?

Is a chicken bake, like, a chicken casserole? (?)

They’re like Hot Pockets.

Okay I changed my mind. You can’t send a leftover hot pocket in a lunch box. I can’t believe anyone has ever saved half a hot pocket or that it’s even possible.

I think you already have the controlling part down!! OP didn’t mention a family rule and posted a valid question, if you don’t like it, move on!

Wouldn't something like a chicken bake (which has a bread-y/pastry-like outside) be kind of gross and slimy in a thermos?

I don't understand the problem.

Kids are gross. They’ll eat anything. I wouldn’t eat it. It I guarantee kids would.
