What’s your family rule for leftovers for lunch? Would you send a leftover Costco chicken bake?

My kids take their lunch and today one of them had a chicken bake with half leftover from Costco. I don’t normally send leftover fast food but, do you ever send leftover foods for lunch the next day that will not be rewarmed?

I don’t know what a chicken bake is, but one of my kids would happily eat most things cold. We have never had fast food leftovers because my kids scarf that stuff down. But if we did I don’t see why I wouldn’t send them, except maybe fries because those just don’t keep.

I send leftovers if I think they’ll be yummy enough cold. I don’t know what a chicken bake is but I definitely don’t think the Costco part is an issue.

We don't get fast food more than once a year so there are never fast food leftovers. It's normal to send last night's dinner leftovers for lunch the next day.

Wow, this issue has never crossed my mind. My kids eat leftovers for lunch all the time. We are still alive.

I send leftovers all the time. My kids are happy to eat most things cold. I’d definitely send leftover chicken bake without a thought.

I’ve never thought to make a “family rule” about leftovers for lunch. I guess I need to be more controlling.

Our family rule is that items in branded packaging get repackaged, ie no Popeyes boxes or Wendy’s wrappers. Apart from that, as long as they’ve got an appropriate ratio of protein, carbs, dairy and produce, I don’t care what particular form their lunch is in.

I don’t really have any rules for lunch, my kids eat leftovers in their lunch at least once a week. Usually I just heat it up and put it in a thermos, if it’s too big to fit in the thermos then they’ll just eat it cold.
