| I have a friend who is 6'8" and wears a 32" inseam. He's all torso. |

FFS. Do you not realize that there a people in the world who need a shorter length on pants than your son?
Gross. |
| My 5’ 9” DH wears 30” inch inseam pants, as does my 5’ 10” son currently. |
| My kid is 5'8" and has 29" inseam. Short legs, long back. |
| Women who buy men’s pants because they like having deep pockets, and consistent sizing based on actual measurements. |
Your son's body is out of balance. Too much lower body/legs. 30" inseam is normal for most men under 5'11" (which means most men both in the US and worldwide). |
Your son should have an advantage for dancing and distance running (non-sprints). |
| Guessing short, long waisted men. It is a little odd to me too as a 5'6 woman with about that inseam but all variations are out there and need pants. |
5’10 and 30 inch pants; 29 fine as well. |
No. Men much taller than those guys are wearing 30" inseams. Read the thread. |
| Men with dad bods who wear their pants below their bellies. |
| Wow, this got quite a reaction. I'm not intending to indicate anything is wrong with needing shorter pants, just that there are stacks and stacks of them at stores, and given that my son is on the considerably shorter end of most adult(ish) males I see on a day to day basis, I can't imagine the demand for the 30s meets the seemingly very abundant supply. |
| My dad was 5'7" and wore a 29" inseam. He looked very proportional to me. |
| 5'7" is not "fairly short", it's average. My dad is 5'2". 30" pants are for him. |
