Same state where the outgoing repugnant governor passed laws to limit the powers of the incoming dem governor, correct?

Nothing to see here folks....

Nothing's wrong with removing the dead people and duplicates except for your math. They removed 747K people from the voter rolls--some for not having voted in the last 4 years which isn't democracy promoting behavior.

Why on earth would you suppose that 10% of NC voters are ineligible? That’s ludicrous on the face of it.

The article says most are people who didn’t vote in the last two elections or had moved within the state and hadn’t re-registered at the new address. Neither has to do with eligibility. The first is just not voting and the second is a paperwork issue that a state that cares about voting could fix by just sending a mailer to the new address.

Adults are not children and if they are they should not vote. The state should boot everyone of the voters rolls ever 4 years.

Registrants can be removed from the rolls for many reasons, including:

They moved, either to a different county or away from North Carolina.
They spent two federal general elections in inactive status and didn’t respond to mailings from their county board of elections attempting to confirm their eligibility.
They died.
They were convicted of a felony and are serving a sentence, including probation, post-release supervision, or parole.
They had a duplicate registration.
They requested to be removed.
They were the subject of a successful voter challenge.
They are not a U.S. citizen.

I'm good with it.

Removing 200k+ voters who they say haven’t voted in the last 4 years is punitive relative to most states and could easily mean the difference between a presidential win in a race that looks to be as close as this one.

Because they can’t win on their “merits”.

Probably too late for any of the people removed due to not voting in the last 4 years or because they moved to re-register

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/north-carolina-removes-747000-from-voter-rolls.amp

North Carolina began absentee voting for registered voters on Tuesday, having begun sending absentee ballots to military and overseas voters on Friday. Applicants do not need to provide an excuse to receive a ballot.

and exactly none of them can vote and none of them do. the illegal voting in the 2020 cycle was mostly republicans. It is all projection.

When you find proof of the massive illegal voting, let us know. to date, there has been zero.

You do realize that illegal aliens can vote for local elections in some cities like DC, right? They only have to be residents of DC for 30 days to vote in local elections.

Refusing to vote and refusing to respond to mail is also not democracy voting behavior.

Yes they are.

No one said that. Remove the dead people. Remove the duplicates. But removing people who haven’t voted in the last two federal elections (4 years) is burdensome. Many people only vote according to the presidential cycle and certainly can miss a cycle due to work or health issues.

Nearly 290,000—a plurality—of the latest removals were duplicate registrations for voters who had moved elsewhere in the state.

The other top reasons were for inactivity in the last two federal elections (246,311) and death (130,688).

The Tar Heel State currently has more than 7.7 million registered voters.

This should not be allowed. Just because a person chose not to vote in two federal elections, they should still be able to walk in for any election and vote. We should be encouraging citizens to vote and make it as easy as possible for legal citizens to vote. Making voters jump through hoops if they are an infrequent voter is truly an egregious denial of rights.

Lucky for them, THEY CAN WALK IN ANDN VOTE with same day registration.

Not on election day. Only during early voting.
