| IT expert. Get all the certifications you can get. College degree helps, but is not always required. Takes about 10-15 years to work your way up to management but very achievable if you're technically adept. |

A lot of the high-paying jobs fall into this category, but many jobs in these categories are not that high-paying. There are a lot of "financial professionals" who are accountants, bank assistant managers, etc., who are not highly paid. For example, many people here will talk about lawyers making high salaries, but this graph shows the distribution of entry-level salaries: There's are peaks for big-law at the $200k+, but there's a MUCH bigger portion making $60-80k. https://www.nalp.org/salarydistrib
