| Can they crack down on the crackheads bothering women at the Anacostia station? |
Eatin in the metro is even more disgusting than taking the metro. Ugh! Every day I am so thankful I do not need public transportation. |
|
I took a long metro ride every workday for a solid 7 years and never ate on the train. If you're in a hurry just eat on your walk to or from the train
I do remember a woman eating sunflower seeds in the train once and was discarding the shells just on the ground next to her seat, disgusting. And yes, there are mice and rats. If you've ever looked between the concrete barrier and the curved wall, you've probably seen them. |
| Hope this applies to coffee. |
It does, yes. |
| Remember that author who got canceled years ago for posting a pic of a metro employee eating on the train? I think there was even a thread here. |
+1. Time metro was cleaned up |
I don't think eating on the metro is a good idea but posting a picture of someone like that is just obnoxious. |
It’s better for the environment if you would take public transportation. Many of don’t “need” to, we just know it’s the more responsible thing to do. |
Rules for thee. |
+ 1 and I enjoy it too. I loathe driving. Far prefer metro. Buses are ok too. |
| When I first moved here from NY 20+ years ago I didn't realize that you couldn't eat on the Metro. I remember eating a snack and getting nasty glares from people on the train. I learned quickly and grew to appreciate that everyone (mostly) followed the rules about food and drink on the train. I'm glad we are moving back towards that. |
How about cracking down on idiots blasting their speaker phones and Bluetooth speakers? |
I am grossed out just imagining her putting the sunflower seeds in her mouth and or taking them out of the shells. Either way, her hand (that touched probably touch the turnstile, the seat in front of her, and other things ) is really really close to her mouth. Yuk!! |
This. They used to get on the intercom and shame people for eating on the platform. It worked. |
