Not sure, but she sure was nasty about it. Like I said, I know I'm fat, so even if I were not finding the sizes I needed, I would have walked away and discovered the section for plus sizes. She was being rude but in a weird territorial way.

Some people are really unhappy and have to externalize it by being horrible to others. Everyone runs into one of these people every now and then.

So lame. When people say things like that it is usually coming from a really disordered place causing them to lash out. Like, she has some insanely distorted body image/issues, she saw you shopping in “her” size and had to reassure herself that she couldn’t possibly be shopping even in the same RACK as you. Which is just sad all around.

By the way, I think size 14 is thin so I’d probably give you side eye if you invaded my plus sizes! Get away! lol you can’t win

She actually pointed you to plus sized area of the store? I find these situations almost unbelievable (although I’m not doubting you). I am also size 14 and never in my life has anyone commented on my size or directed me to plus sized clothes. Nor did anyone touch my belly when I was pregnant, nor infringe on my personal space (actually and metaphorically) in any way. I can’t believe strangers make such personal comments.

There are seriously so many miserable people on DCUM. Just spreading nastiness, making the world a little less nice for people around them, including online.
