I was in a Marshall’s looking for clothes for my teen nieces. Another customer says to me “nothing over here will fit you, the plus sizes are over there”. I told her I was shopping for teenagers. And she still seemed kind of annoyed that I was in “her” area.
What gives? I know I wear a size 14. And if I was buying size 2 skirts for myself…what’s it to you? Ugh sometimes I just hate people. Vent over. |

Shaming people over their size is a form of oppression.
It is called sizeism and is every bit as atrocious and harmful as racism. |

Sorry Op I wish you could tell her to shut the F up. How rude |
Exactly. You made a mistake by actually explaining yourself. All she needed to be told was to STFU. |
| Miserable people are miserable. Their only joy is bringing other people down. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. |
| Did I ask for your help or opinion? No. Kindly F off |
| So rude. I’m sorry op. Normal people don’t act like that. |
| That sucks, OP. I'm sorry. |
| I’d probably mumble something to myself under my breath, but I would never say anything like that to someone. That’s rude. |
+1. Totally not a normal person. I'd ask her if she was okay. |
|
People can be really awful and stupid. I'm sorry, OP. If you're anything like me, you probably came up with all sorts of snappy comebacks on the car ride home.
|
Why the need to mumble to yourself? |
Wait, you would mumble something to yourself under your breath about a complete stranger's body size? WTF is wrong with you? |
Uhh that's not better. You are just as rude. |
