Can you play falls church with a McLean zip code?

Great Falls now has 22102 included in their zip code.

The suggestion is to play falls church city rec league basketball, not fcybl. The rec league doesn’t have zip code restrictions. It allows kids who are outside the city to play. It is a particularly well run rec league and you could the same number of games/practices as fcybl and more overall playing time bc the roster is a little smaller.

They don't have 8th grade girls in Falls Church. Most of those girls can play for their HS team so the rec teams fall in 8th grade.

The email I just received a few days ago about the league definitely said 8th grade girls could play. It is an unusually talented 8th grader who can make the jv basketball team.

It literally stops at 7th grade girls. Did you read it?

Yes I read it. You clearly didn’t. And look at the link. 8th graders are included in rec.

Select tryouts are posted for McLean select. Do they host open gyms? I don’t see any on the website. Other towns seem to all have them except McLean. Do I just don’t know where to look?

What does D2 mean?

I have an 8th grade boy trying to move from rec to select and try out for high school next year.

How hard is it to make the McLean high school team?

On the boys side, there are three divisions. D1 is the best teams, then D2, then D3.

If you have an org in your zip code that is having a team play in D3, that would be a better plan for a kid coming out of rec.
