The suggestion is to play falls church city rec league basketball, not fcybl.  The rec league doesn’t have zip code restrictions.   It allows kids who are outside the city to play.   It is a particularly well run rec league and you could the same number of games/practices as fcybl and more overall playing time bc the roster is a little smaller.   [/quote]

They don't have 8th grade girls in Falls Church.  Most of those girls can play for their HS team so the rec teams fall in 8th grade.[/quote]

The email I just received a few days ago about the league definitely said 8th grade girls could play.   It is an unusually talented 8th grader who can make the jv basketball team.
