Seriously! All weekend long I was like “why are we doing this??” This isn’t good for the kids.
If you’re in middle school, fine. But leave the little kids out of this nonsense. |
| Some of you younger players parents aren't ready for travel. Lol if your kid and you can't handle a labor day tournament this might not be the level of competition for you. |

maybe this isn’t for you then? Your kids are not exhausted either…if they tell you that it’s because they using that as an excuse for something else they don’t want to do |
Say goodbye to your holiday weekends. We've had tournaments the Friday after thanksgiving and the week in between Christmas and New Years |
| Myself and my daughter enjoy the tournaments. Just because you and your child can’t take a hot day after a busy week of sitting in a desk doesn’t mean others do not want to participate. |
| The only thing I can’t stand is the terrible parking situation at SAC fields.(Covenant Park)If it was up to me I would never have our team play in a tournament there. |
| I will voice the opposing view: One of my kids was thrilled to be back with the team after not seeing them all summer. The other is on a new team and the weekend tournament was enough to kill nerves and make them psyched about the upcoming season. So at my house, at least, this was a win! |
|
So your unhappy about the tournament yet you still had your child out there playing because… You’ve already paid for the team fee which includes the tournament and is being a cheap ass and having your child play instead of skipping it. Then coming on here and posting why it’s such a bad tournament weekend.

just guessing- op will also
complain about memorial day tourneys bc season is over, ready to get on with summer / new team / new club, or kids are tired from school year. oh, and it will also be hot |
| Agree. This is a cash grab by people who don’t care about kid / family well-being. |
+1. To RSVP'ing no. It's not a big deal OP. If you don't want to go, don't go. |
| This was great for our younger kid’s team - they had a blast and got to see what they do well and what they need to work on. The other kid plays on a team that decided not to register for any tournaments this weekend and he was super sad about it. I wish they would tell parents earlier to forego travel plans on Labor Day weekend but they always wait until August and it’s too late. |
| Our team voted to add on a tournament for the weekend and it was a great team bonding experience, for the kids and the families. |
