Yes. My friend was going through a divorce. Her husband had slept with the nanny, and she didn't know it. The nanny was young and spreading false gossip about her at her kid's school, so unbeknownst to her, the school and other parents had a very false perception of her. One weekend, she had her kid in a bike seat, and they tipped over, and her kid went to school with a road burn. Fortunately, she had immediately taken her kid into urgent care and had a record of it. The school called CPS on my friend. CPS requested to meet with her at the reporting school. It was quickly dropped after they saw her matching road burn and talked to her, but she was humiliated. At the advice of her attorney, she had to keep her kid at the school for the remainder of the year before she moved, and they got a fresh start.
