Cheese plate: hummus, cheese, raw veggies, chips or pita or bread. A fruit, a sweet, maybe nuts. Or you could literally do a cheese plate: a few cheeses, crackers, bread, tiny jam, fruit, nuts.
Veggie/cheese sandwich (I like dill havarti, lettuce, cucumber, peppers, Italian dressing in a pita). Fruit, carrots with dip. Bagel with cream cheese, fruit, something salty like popcorn. If your kid is a true snacker, some snacks and a smoothie (Odwalla or something). Rice balls, snap peas with peanut sauce, fruit, seaweed. Pasta salad: I like cucumber, Kalamata olives, red pepper, artichokes, grape tomatoes, parm or mozzarella, vinaigrette, and garlic croutons for crunch. Hearts of palm if I'm fancy. This is enough for me. Maybe a piece of chocolate. Protein shake and fruit and nuts. |
