Please suggest veggie lunches... that are good when cold too.

How have you survived to date without starving?

Sandwich: PB&J or cheese, tofu or hummus.

Tofu. Crudite. Crackers/chips. Fruit.

My vegetarian son (11) takes the same thing to lunch every day:

Chobani yogurt drink
cheese stick
grapes
cheez-its
fruit snacks
I put an applesauce in there in case he is still hungry

He did almond butter/jelly sandwiches for a while (allergy to peanuts)
We did cheese/tomato/cucumber sandwiches for a while.

He doesn't like hummus, but a hummus sandwich would work.

What is wrong with you? And since you’re such a smart@$$ let me point out that PB&J is a ridiculously stupid suggestion for school lunch these days, since so many schools forbid peanuts (even middle and high schools).

Have you tried the smoky Tempeh, tomato, lettuce, and avocado sandwich at Whole Foods? It's amazing. You could do a spin off that.

As others have said:
-cheese/crackers
-hummus/pita
-fruit or veggies cut up
-Caprese salad

Apples sunflower butter and granola on wrap

As a vegetarian adult who takes lunch to work...

salads based with quinoa, wheatberry, lentils, rice, and/or pasta. Easy to make a big batch for daily servings, have crunch and savory, carbs/protein/veggies.

Really? Ms and hs? Maybe some elementary schools have peanut free tables but most publics don’t ban peanut butter.

There are a lot of yummy spreads available at MOMs and whole foods - similar to hummus but more varieties (lentils etc.). My daughter loved to use these spreads on sandwiches and wraps as a base with greens (spinach/romaine) and other veggies like tomatoes/cucumbers. Also, two hard boiled eggs either alone or as part of a sandwich are filling and lots of good protein.

I love hummus and cheese sandwiches. Pick your condiment and your bread.
