| Yes my son did, he was out of state |
Op here. Thanks PP! It would be a full circle moment if this came from the gift giver! I didn’t realize this was a popular thing at the moment. |
| Op again. Also, yes DS is going out of state |
|
Seems weird to me to hang the state flag.
Why not be more creative? |
| Two kids, each out of state. Both have flags from their colleges, not from Maryland |
Ha no you don’t |
I'm an upstate NYer living in MD and I'll admit any day that the MD flag is 100x better than New York's. |
Why would they have the college flag on the wall of a dorm on the college campus?Or you mean those triangular felt flags? |
what would be an acceptable level of creativity to you? |
No. My kid went to a private school in PA. Her roommate was also from MD, and they definitely found a state pride to bond over. (She bought some state swag, but nothing as large as a flag). Let you son decide what he wants to do. |
Not a fan of the MD flag either. It always reminds me of a harlequin or court jester. |
| I know several DC kids with a DC flag in their dorm room. |
My son is at Michigan and it seemed like a ton of kids had Michigan flags in the dorms. Like this: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/98657048075842129/ |
It’s usually bitter Uva types left behind in the 2nd rate acc. |
| MSU included an MSU porch flag with the admissions letter this past year. |
