I hate our pedestal sink and if there's ever an issue, plumbers hate them too. It's hard to get at the plumbing without taking the whole thing apart.
OP, if you are looking for a statement, get a cabinet and one of those decorative sinks that sits on top rather than inset. Much more practical. |
You can buy a 30" cabinet then add a top that a fabricator cuts for you. That way you can put the sink and faucet holes wherever you want. |
| I had to do a 28" cabinet, so I put a very small sink in it to give me more countertop. It was tight, but it was a very tight bathroom. |
| If you have little kids, a pedestal sink may be risky. |
| No. Go for storage. |
| Where will you store toilet paper? Ethan’s a pedestal sink in two baths and I have baskets for extra tp but I’d prefer to have it under the sink. Cleaning products too. There are things that don’t fit in a medicine cabinet or don’t belong there., ot you’d rather not see every day. |
Be careful as the sink bowl and plumbing may interfere with any drawers. |

I do not like them very much.
I do not think they are functional. At all. Except for maybe in a downstairs powder room. 🚽 |
