Poll - pedestal sink in primary bath

I hate them. Storage and counter space.

OP here - ok it seems the poll has a pretty clear direction. I guess I am just stumped for what I can do for a primary bath vanity with storage - we only about 30 inches width to play with…. Any suggestions for a good brand? It’s the first thing you’ll see in the bathroom so need to make the right statement!

OP here again - a vanity with storage where the sink is offset to the right side could work.

I had one of my bathroom when I was in a condo (probably a similar one to what you’re looking at. It was Kohler and gave me lots of countertop in a small bathroom). It worked because there was a closet inside the bathroom opposite the sink, so all the getting ready stuff was at hand.

I loved it - and having the closet meant everything was away when I was done getting ready.

But I’m a minimalist and I don’t have a lot of product or gadgets in my bathroom. I could see it being an issue for some.

There are no shortage of 30" vanities available. Wayfair lists over 6,000 of them, in fact, in a variety of styles.

It’s just a cabinet with a solid top, don’t overthink it. Get something that vibes with the style of your house and the trim.

I have this wasn’t my remodel, but it works fine. There are also two small wall shelves. I like that there’s no junk in such a small place. A 30” sink cabinet is not much room, it would just get over stuffed, and need constant clean out. We have two linen closets in the hall. I have makeup in the bedroom. This reduces the time spent in the bathroom. I like it better than our last small bathroom.

I have a tiny master where we just went from pedestal sink to a 30” vanity with more of a counter and a little storage under. When every inch counts, it’s nice to have even a little storage. We added a medicine cabinet that has storage too. The pedestal sink has no counter space, which is tough

Don't be weirdo about making a statement with your sink.

Storage is practical which makes it good,

But if adding feet to your sink breaks the bank, you probably shouldn't do anything until you need to make your place sellable.

We have a 30 inch vanity in our small primary bath and we hate it. We’re replacing it with 2 pedestal sinks and 2 storage medicine cabinets. We have a hall closet though so don’t need more storage than that in the bathroom.

I would love to get rid of ours (tiny bathrooms). Even plumbers hate them because when things go wrong, it makes the job trickier.

+1. Surprised at all the hate for pedestal sinks. I have them in both my bathrooms and they worked fine for us as a family of 5.
