The economist ran an article over a year ago saying there is no other national electable candidate. Dem party headliners are all niche, and would represent “First Edition” Presidents: First Woman, First Gay, First Jewish, Firsf Asian, etc… which our right leaning country is not going to go with. When Obama ran, the alternative was McCain who was outstanding in my eyes (though Palin definitely raised the stakes).

Of course the GOP is down with First Felon, but partly it’s because they consider a no crime: trying to hide his affair, which many probably sympathize.

I don't believe for a second that Dems can't build a huge war chest in record time if they get a good, normal, YOUNG candidate. People are screaming for a good choice and Trump v Harris isn't it.

+1 I grew up thinking that Carter was great....but I was looking through the lens of a 10 year old who had Carter visit her art class and thought that was the coolest thing ever. I'm an adult now and know he was a "great" man...but probably not the best president. There's a difference.

Got a significant infrastructure bill through the Senate.
Record energy production including oil.
Significant Green Economy legislation that sets the US up for success for the next generation
Returning manufacturing jobs.
Returning decency to the White House.
