How Is Reddit Doing This?

Reddit is for grown adults who live in their parents basement, are jobless and have low IQ's.

What does that mean? I use Chrome but so do 50 million others.

Browser fingerprinting is the answer. Why don't you try looking it up. Your browser tells website enough to know exactly who you are. You can see some of what makes a browser fingerprint at https://amiunique.org/fingerprint

I don’t think OP understands how hard it will be to get around this. His browser fingerprinting will likely be tracked by one of many tracking services that Reddit employs, it’s not just Reddit that will ID him. This if he gets a new laptop, it may work if he is from a new IP address and network and not logged into anything else at all (or buys a new phone from like Verizon and ONLY uses it for Reddit). But once he starts his normal work of gmail and bank accounts or truthsocial cookies, those services will identify him and add this device to his identity set.

So you need to buy a separate phone, use it only for Reddit on mobile (never home WiFi), and post with some forethought.

This is an easy fix stop using reddit.

Look up User-Agent Strings.

Also lookup the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) Panopticlick.

I don’t understand why you care. Reddit is for losers you are better off.

From what I understand of Reddit, you likely got banned from the DC subreddit for your comments. Then you created multiple alts to keep spamming anti-Biden stuff in the DC sub, thus getting those accounts banned as well, and THEN you were handed down a Reddit Permaban for “ban evasion.” Permabans come from Reddit admins/paid employees themselves, not the unpaid volunteer moderators of the various subs.

Ban evasion is pretty serious s*** there. You should have taken the L and left the DC sub alone when you were banned from there originally. Then you’d still have your account/accounts and could post on all the other subs that you weren’t banned from. At this point your only option is probably to buy a new device (like a cheap phone), create a new Reddit account from a public location’s WiFi like a Starbucks or another business, using a brand new email address, and then only use that phone only for Reddit. And when you access it at home, use a mobile data plan or a VPN and not your home WiFi.

It's definitely useful if you have some hyper specific question you need answered by someone with way too much technical knowledge.

WOW. Just wow. The really messed up thing is you don't even realize what you just said.

A number of ways to track you:

1. The MAC Address if you are using IPV6; it identifies your laptop no matter what.
2. If you are on Wifi - your home Wifi router name is included as part of the connection information. This combined with general geographic location can also identify you.
3. More sophisticated ways but don't think they are using them.
