I got banned from the DC Reddit sub almost two years ago because I posted that Biden was a sicko with kids in response to the repeated "Trump is a Nazi" posts.
Ever since then, every single account I create gets banned within a month or so, referencing, in detail (time, date, IP), the banning at the DC sub as cause. I've had literally a dozen accounts banned even though they were harmless ones created only to ask what place has the best BBQ in Austin, or what hotel I should book in Seattle. I don't even vist the DC sub but still I get zapped. I have since moved homes and jobs so it isn't an IP ban and I regularly purge my history, cache, cookies etc, but it is the same laptop. Did they plant something on this laptop that I'm unable to remove? Even when I use a VPN they ban me. How are they doing this? |
| Browser fingerprinting. |
| Yes, let's explore the options so that Jeff can also ban you. |
| Have you tried installing different browser? |
|
Good riddance.
Trump acting like a Nazi is a fair comparison based on facts. What you said is admittedly nothing more than an inflammatory partisan lie. FAFO |
What does that mean? I use Chrome but so do 50 million others. |
| Its an Identification Tracker called "10t"..or ID-10t. It happens to a lot of MAGA folks who continuously post on the internet. |
| If it's the same laptop, it could be the Mac address. Try making an account on your phone. |
Who'd have guessed the IT forum would be filled TDS sufferers?
|
NP. So that is an "IDIOT" joke. How about some factual ideas... I'm interested in how cookies and tracking work. |

Clear cookies. Ideally, use a different browser.
It's not the MAC address, since that is only visible on the local network. |
| Reddit is nuts. I would try deleting cookies for reddit off my computer. |
Did you read the OP? |
|
I'm sorry, OP, the punishment seems a bit harsh considering your crime.
Did you activate your ad-blocker and anti-tracing tools on your laptop? If all else fails, maybe you want to reset your device to factory settings or buy a new device. |
