just got my blood drawn now the agonizing wait...

Well, just got the phone call and it's not good news , beta went to 541, and since it's more than 2 days it should be over 600. Anyone have a beta not double and it turn out to be a healthy pregnancy?
Anonymous
Did the nurse tell you that it wasn't good? I don't know if everyone follows the doubling in 48 hours rule. In fact, I think someone posted on her that it should double every 48-72 hours.

The nurse didn't say it was bad, just for me to return to office for repeat beta on Wed, but everything I have read on various sites suggests something is wrong. I wish I was just a completely clueless pregnant woman so I wouldn't know of all the things that can go wrong...someone else on TTC asked how to relieve stress and I agree with one of the posters that said stay on of here and probably most IF sites.

OK you need to get off the hormonal crazy train, a ride I have taken to stressville, and keep in mind that no amount of worrying will change anything. Try to keep your mind focused on the positive even if it means renting silly movies or watching cartoons and avoiding CNN. In the information age we are bombarded with negative stuff and it's hard to keep in mind that there is more good than bad. I hope you get good news Wed, but try to keep in mind that we can't control the outcome just hope for the best. Hugs to you

I so hope you get good news, too!! I think I remember seeing posts on here where people's betas didn't follow the exact doubling pattern and everything was just fine. I really hope you're in that category! Good luck!!

Yesterday was cycle day 1 again, and I just could not bring myself to call in for a new cycle... I feel so defeated. Please keep stories coming... need encouragement to try again...

Hugs to you! It's so hard to have a loss, and you'll know when you're ready to try again. In the meantime, be good to yourself in every way you can.

For what it's worth, Days 1-3 of the cycle are the absolute worst for me each time. But by day 4, I'm feeling mildly hopeful again, and by day 7 I'm downright optimistic and ready to go. So maybe it's worth jumping in again this cycle in the hopes that you're emotions will be there by trigger time. Of course, there's nothing wrong with taking a month off either. Whatever feels right to you!

Either way, I wish you the best. I know how tough the emotional part of this process can be!!

P.S. I'm the OP of this thread. We're now a few days away from our first embryo transfer via NCIVF. Fingers crossed for us all.

Thank you so much for posting this! I am that PP. It was so kind of you! By the way, I feel the same with the cycle days,... hence optimistic again for now (although not doing NCIVF this month)

PP 15:50 do you have to have another beta or do you schedule a ultrasound?

That update doesn't sound that great at all -- only 56% of those who made it to egg retrieval made it to transfer. So almost half of those who went through the RE surgery even had a chance of getting pregnant??? Thanks, but no thanks.

As a woman dealing with only male issues I found it the better way to go, and the ER isn't surgery, there is no incision it's a simple in office procedure that took about 10 minutes.

Same here . Just did my first cycle of NCIVF with unexplained secondary fertility. In my 2ww, so I don't know yet if it worked. But the process was amazing. Much easier and less disruptive/stressful than I ever imagined.
