Infertility Support and Discussion

Just wondering has anyone had success with natural cycle IVF out there, if so what was your situation and how did it work?
I am 31 with high day 3 estrogen, but good anteral follicle count and AMH...don't know that I need to go that route yet but just curious as to who's had success with it. TIA! |

I was quoted a 50% pregnancy rate for ncivf in age group <30 can't imagine it's much worse at 31
If your amh and afc are ok, are you ovulating? Hiw long ttc? |
| My first round of NCIVF i was 38 with high FSH, normal AMH, and mild sperm issues and we were successful the first round. We are trying for DC#2 and haven't been as lucky but we have made it to transfer (day 5 blasts) for the last 2 cycles, currently in 2ww for round 2. |
| Are your cycles fairly regular?? |
I am ovulating every month, right around CD 13/14 and have regular 28-29 day cycles...getting pregnant is not the big challenge, it's staying that way
We've been trying for about a year with two miscarriages. |
| I was 36 when I did my first ncivf, DH was 39 with poor motility, we got lucky the first cycle, and plan to try again next month. |
| I was 39.5 when I did my first ncivf. I had borderline high FSH, low AMH, low AFC (2-3), moderately high estrogen. Irregular cycles (24-32 days). First NCIVF resulted in chemical pregnancy. Two other cycles were canceled due to LH surge/no egg. Second cycle to make it to transfer resulted in a pregnancy. |
|
No success yet. First NCIVF was cancelled because the embryo stopped growing. We made it to transfer during the second attempt, but I didn't get pregnant.
NCIVF is worth a shot. It's so much easier on your body than a regular IVF. Good luck! |

OMG just got call from nurse that my beta is 97, is that an ok number for 14 dp5dt ??
|
| Congratulations! we had our transfer 2 days ago and I'm going nuts already. |
| Congratulations! I don't know about the beta #s. What did your RE tell you about the expected range? |
|
First NCIVF did not work, embryo died before transfer, we were so so sad, age 35, and we have no health issues, all tests normal...
Yesterday was cycle day 1 again, and I just could not bring myself to call in for a new cycle... I feel so defeated. Please keep stories coming... need encouragement to try again... |
| I am so sorry to hear that news. I know it is so easy to feel defeated and this stuff really takes a toll on you both emotionally and physically. However, you need to keep in mind that if you don't try, you won't get the result you want. As hard as it, it is really important to try and soldier forward. I had a MC in December and I swear I thought Iwould never be able to move forward. But at a certain point it was like a light went on in my head and I realized that if I don't move forward, I will not get the result I want. I know it's hard but try really hard to get the courage up to try again. A good friend told me, "Nothing worth having is ever easy to get." |
| PP 17:58, nurse didn't say if my beta was okay just said to come back tomorrow to have it re-checked, I was so excited at first but now I'm worried, reading about chemical pregnancies and miscarriages makes me think we can't let ourselves get to hopeful just yet. |

It's funny that DF quoted you a 50% success rate for women under 30 doing NCIVF because their own website shows a 25% success rate (20 women started the process and there were 5 pregnancies). http://www.naturalcycleivf.net/green-fertility/acupuncture-infertility.aspx
Plus they don't give the number of live births, but odds are that at least one of those pregnancies may have ended in a m/c. |
