Meanwhile, every damn Republican supporting Trump is in deep deep denial about Trump. Every Democrat saying "step down" without having an alternative lined up is in denial. Biden claims he raised $38M in donations after the debate, mostly individual donations. That blows Trump's $14M out of the water.

I think Biden may be correct that people don't really care if he is able to do the job, since they hate Trump with every fiber of their being. Many posters here write that they would vote for the reanimated corpse of Stalin, a man responsible for the murder and mass starvation of tens of millions of people, vs Trump. Accordingly, I tend to agree with Biden that he is in the clear with the democratic base and it's really just swing voters, who are less opposed to Trump but by no means like him, that will make the decision for everyone.
