Everyone who is being nasty…

Instead of being so mad that everyone is mean to you, perhaps do some soul searching to figure out why multiple people have told you your attitude is a problem.

It’s not just me. But this board regularly accuses people of being unhinged, arrogant, or a troll. And it’s gotten so old.

There’s lots of times there’s a good thread going on then someone screams troll or unhinged.

Or says “Therapy. Stat.”

Don't DCUM if you have a thin skin. You have to roll your eyes at those responses and don't engage.

Is this the Chino thread?

I don't know why but this OP is reminding me of the woman in the Relationships forum from a while ago who was doing it with a neighbor in a car, then saw someone else's car in his driveway and got all upset.

If so then she was trolling there and/or trolling here - unless she got married to the guy. Maybe she got married to the guy!

But that same weirdly formal writing, high self regard married with utter lack of self-awareness. Maybe they are different people who are from the same country - I remember that woman was from somewhere else, too.

I spend too much time on DCUM. Also, DCUM needs an archivist.

I need to see this thread!

We’re good if you choose not to “keep sharing,” when what you recently “shared” is disdain for people in “flyover country” (YOUR WORDS) and how they don’t dress nicely. All this from a woman in chinos, LOL.

1. "dungarees"

2. "I've always been very femme."

3. Used the term "pixie cut" to "be nice."

4. And started not one, but TWO new threads to discuss people's reactions on her previous threads.

No, it isn't how you dress that is putting people off. You are self-absorbed in an anxiety-riddled, highly-strung sort of way. This kind of person is exhausting, just utterly draining to be around.

People are really mean here.

Just want you to know I’ve been on this board for several years.

I’ve gotten lots of help from this board over the years. Thanks to this board I have a perfume I love and know what concealer covers the veins on my eyelids.

And I’ve tried to help others. I looked for that elusive navy blue dress. I’ve shared my experiences with Botox and filler.

I’ve never called anyone fat or ugly. I don’t even participate on the celebrity threads that criticize what they wear.

I asked an honest question and a community I enjoy has been very hostile today.

If you want others to keep sharing, consider playing nicer.

You see this on Reddit...Gen Z demands that everyone comes to a consensus and be "nice" on the internet-no divergence from consensus allowed. You came here to DCUM, wanted to secure a favorable consensus to your complaint about others, that didn't happen, and now you are shaming the women of this site as if you are the niceness police. None of this works here.

I'm curious why you're coming back for more, then?

I mean, surely you understand that rehashing all the same things isn't going to help?

Why are you so desperate for attention that even negative attention is worth more to you than blessed silence and peace?

Pour yourself a nice bath, OP, watch a fun movie, read a book in bed. Tomorrow is another day. Maybe you'll be the toast of DCUM for a different topic!

This is what it is. Desperate for attention.

Is OP going to start a 4th thread now? So needy.

You know who is really mean here? The OP who used the phrase “flyover country,” mocked other women for their hair and their clothing, only to be wearing chinos as she sneers at others. So let’s keep it real.

I love this sentence.

It’s so good. I’m a writer, and might have to work it into something.

+1000

Op is doing that classic personality disorder move — making herself the victim when how she has treated others (see: “flyover country”) gets called out.
