Turks and Caicos crime and lack of justice system

Great to know! Less NRA Maga types in Turks. I’ll put it on my list for next year.

Very on brand for TSA!

"undercover investigators were able to smuggle mock explosives or banned weapons through checkpoints in 95 percent of trials"

As always, security theater.

Sure, he had a smattering of ammo (but no weapon) accidentally in his luggage, but 100 days in jail plus a $6,700 fine sounds like a great way for a poor island to make money…particularly since there are 4 other Americans currently held for similar charges.

Be careful.

No he went to another country they have laws. He should be in jail and fined.

Why is he special?

Only Republican morons think this way.

Gun owner.

What a bad human being you are, to wish such a thing. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I bet if he was a black guy in Jacksonville with a bag full of ammo MAGA would have no problem with him spending years in jail

If you are so stupid that you would carry ammo in a suitcase you deserve all of this and more. I respect this country and their firm boundaries. If you can’t abide by their countries rules then stay the hell home or go to DR or Jamaica or some other rundown island.

Stop acting so white. Your whiteness is showing. There is more crime in the dmv then there. Just stop it idiot.

Except this isn’t fake or “trumped” up charges. It’s real. Do the crime pay the time.

You sound really insane. Biden can’t manage his own country well. And I’m a democrat.

I think their justice system appears to be functioning perfectly well, as they are enforcing their laws.

Even the not so bright among us should understand that Americans are subject to the laws of other countries when they are not in the US but they seem to struggle with that.

Oh and then get all upset that the US government that they despise and are trying to destroy and discredit don’t ride in to their rescue.

you might want to learn some current events before spewing nonsense. There is a very real concern about growing crime in Turks due to issues in Haiti. Read and learn before posting. https://tcweeklynews.com/tcig-enhances-border-security-on-outer-islands-in-wake-of-haitis-unrest-p13924-127.htm

Huh. It sounds like their criminal justice system is working just fine. I'm not sure what the problem is.

But perhaps OP, you're also a lazy and irresponsible gun owner, and the stupidity of this moron hits too close to home?

I'd never do something like this, but what is to prevent someone from planting shit in your luggage?
