If you are that annoyed, perhaps you can't afford salon color.

NP. Or, perhaps you’re an a$$. I could afford to pay to have my hair colored everyday of the week, if I want. That doesn’t mean I waste money. The price for color and cut is absurd. The product cost is minimal, so I’m paying somebody $150-300 in labor for a job that didn’t even require a degree? lol. Stupid.

You are a special kind of witch, aren't you? I guess you can't do your own hair... with your degrees... so you're kind of at the mercy of those stupid, uneducated, ignorant, a-monkey-could-do-it stylists, aren't ya!?

Powerful comeback. You’ve hurt my feelings. Lol.

It’s basic logic. The stylists charge way too much for their services. Break it down by labor and supplies, and that’s obvious. No different than a plumber, landscaper, etc. You look at what they’re actually charging for the labor, and for hairstyling, it’s insane.

And yes, I can do my own hair. Hairstylist can’t be too stupid, they’ve figured out how to con people out of money while also tipping them 20 percent.

These words .. logic and insane and con. I do not think they mean what you think they mean...

And there’s not much they can do that’s beyond doing what they’re paid to do. I love to tip when someone is exceptional in some way but that’s rarely the case for a hair appointment.

OP: When I am already paying $180 for simple color and a blowdry, I'm annoyed at the idea I need to tip three different people too. I generally tip the woman who shampooed my hair but not the other two.

I think PP was talking about tipping multiple people. It used to be you tipped the stylist and they tipped out. Now there are multiple people to be tipped independently.
