Worst neighborhood in DC?

Whatever that area is to the east of 295 while driving north of Pennsylvania Ave. I know people who have had their car stolen while stopping for gas.

Still a long way to go.

This, plus Clay Terrace, plus 37th. I’m probably missing a couple but those are generally the most absurdly bad.

Shaw around 8th and R is surprisingly shooty. Really the worst of the worst will be specific housing complexes like Sursum Corda or Lincoln Westmoreland.

I know several people this happened to in Old Town Alexandria (on Washington and Route 1) so that’s not enough anymore.

Again, Sursum Corda is gone. Paraphrasing the words of the movie mean girls, "do you even go here?"

Also, I don't know what to say to anyone surprised by shootings in Shaw. Bless her heart.

AU Park is an awesome, safe, and wonderful place to live with kind, friendly neighbors. We've lived here for years and raised our family here. We love it!
