It's entertainment, not a journalistic documentary. Do you think Carrie Bradshaw could really afford her apartment, clothes and shoes on her salary? Think of balerina farm as a short-format sitcom |
I don't know, I think she's just crazy enough that she does actually live in that bare farmhouse. But who knows. I've noticed that even though her sister lives in a mansion she also has it barely decorated with nothing on the walls and no furniture. I think it must just be easier with that many kids to have nothing around. I do wonder about her closet though, her bedroom is very bare and doesn't have much in it but she's constantly wearing new clothes so I'm guessing she has a closet/dressing room on another property on the farm. |
Somewhere I saw the house described as one giant splinter and it made me lol. So true. |
Some of the foods they make do seem kind of amazing and I’d love to eat them.
But it’s all smoke and mirrors. Kind of how Marie Antoinette had a farm and liked to go play house there. |
The kids are never around. She's always doing something like making fresh pasta from scratch with a single toddler helping her stir the bowl. Where are the other 7 kids under age 10?
Mysteriously absent for hours and hours on end. |
Yeah I think they're like free range kids, but I can't believe none have them have gotten hurt. They ride motorcycles and do all sorts of stuff with no supervision. |
Most LDS influencers are like that, really reckless with their kids. |
+1. They're all like this. No car seats. Infant on a jet ski with no life vest. The examples are endless. |
+1. The latest IG had a bunch of kids including a toddler jumping on a trampoline with no net in the middle of a field. With a cow in close proximity. |
Good. They're probably better adjusted and less anxious/stressed than most kids. |
Being looked after by the servants. |
Maybe her hands are tied, after all she's a married Mormon woman-not exactly the most egalitarian minded people in the country. None of this changes a certain reality: This is an act she's putting and expecting that everyone will just eat it up.
What we have in front of us is a family wealthier than 99% of people in this country, that can afford to cosplay as hardscrabble farmers which they most definitely are NOT. She's running a content empire with a retail section (fine by me) but cloaking it under the veil of 'trad wife'. Her hypocrisy and, or ignorance, has her blinded to the fact that she's a working woman who's monetizing a romanticized version of the 'trad wife' lifestyle. As such , she's no longer a trad wife. She's a working woman. And she knows it, too. |
Y'all need to get out more. Lotta kids all over this country have a trampoline with no net. And, a cow - what's it gonna do nibble them? Cows aren't dangerous in the slightest. Unless it's a bull, but those kids know that. |
+1 Turtle Creek Lane is another LDS example. Tiffany & Adam and Kimmy & Steve Junior. |
