THIS. It's your day off work, OP, call the dentist immediately and drive her there yourself, FFS!

You, OP, are focused on her going to the store when you should be focused on why your wife is in so much pain she didn't eat last night.

Get your priorities straight like a grown-up should.

She wants you to deal with the kids this morning.

Let the woman have her shrimp.

I'm going to use this phrase in my life now. Thank you, PP.

Ours do. Food Lion and Harris Teeter open at 6 am.

Lots of stores open at 7. I go to the grocery store at 7 am on Sat all the time, I love getting it done before it gets crowded.

But in this case, I think it was more that she was in a bad mood & just needed to get out & have some personal space.

She is an adult, not a child. Why would OP make appointments for her. And surely if she needed a ride she would ask for one.
I would be upset if my husband took over and infantilized me like you are saying to do.

She's in pain. Let her do what she needs to do. When I'm in pain I don't want anyone around that will aggravate that pain.

If I’m not feeling well I want my husband step up and take care of me! Whether it is taking me to the dentist…run to the store to get something I want, make sure the kids give me space etc.

Her tooth hurts and she didn’t eat last night so woke up starving. Needs to eat something soft because her tooth still hurts. Cupcake and shrimp fit the bill: sweet, salty, proteins sugars and fats.

Huh? What is the issue? Leave the woman alone- it's her day off for gods sake and she is clearly spending it how she wants it.
