She was sorta shocked by the question and she started to stammer. He said "$5 million? $10 million?" She shook her head No. "Not even $50 million?!?!" She then said "I'm sticking with my rule: don't work with assh#les." Andy had a fun time needling her, he was giggling.

His team definitely knew. My BIL is a fact-checker and researcher at one of the big publishing houses. His job is to verify stories such as Rebel's. The story doesn't go in the book if it can't be verified and it leaves anyone open to a lawsuit. The proof that is uncovered is kept indefinitely and much like how investigative reporters have their own shorthand to keep their notes/sources private, my BIL has encryption software to keep the proof/sources private.
