His team likely had warning of the book since last year. It takes a long time for the lawyers to approve something like this. They allegedly separated last year, but are now only moving forward with the divorce. It’s about the book. That’s the straw that broke the camel’s back. |

Anyway, supposedly their relationship had been on the rocks for a while because he was unhappy after moving to Australia with her and the kids. Differences in lifestyle choices etc. can become a bigger deal approaching midlife. Sounds like they wanted different things. |

And so? Do you know how long it takes a major publisher to fact check allegations like these before they are allowed to go to print? SBC’s team was likely contacted by the publisher over a year ago to comment on the allegations. Isla Fisher would’ve found out about all of this at that time. I’m sure there were lots of other issues in the marriage - him not being happy in Australia, intense pressure under the media spotlight, he seems like a difficult personality, etc. But the divorce announcement is clearly a response to try to protect her career. They filed a confidential legal separation 6 months ago in order to set up the spin message they are peddling today. Had all of this blown over, it costs nothing to end to end the “separation.” There’s not even any confirmation that SBC and IF were living apart from each other! |

Nobody pursues a fake divorce.
Don’t you people know any couples who have been together for 10-20 years who started out happy and ended up miserable? It’s pretty common to divorce…especially when you have plenty of money and can easily maintain two fancy houses, private schools, hired help, etc. |
