Ozempic side effects?

Anonymous
One Medical doc wouldn’t prescribe Ozempic for me despite obese range BMI and high cholesterol. Which docs will prescribe for weight loss in DC/Bethesda area?

Or better yet, make it checking back in 10 yrs.

Go on YouTube and watch the 60 Minutes Australia coverage on this drug. It’s fair and far more comprehensive than any research or reporting being put out in the states.

Now a year in and 50lbs down, I can’t even feel it.

Is this normal weight loss?

I am down 45 lbs 10 months in and my doctor doesn't seem as pleased as I am. I meet with him this week and at my previous appointment (February) he said if I hadn't lost 8-10 more pounds by this appointment, he was increasing my dose to 2 mg. February 5 to April 5 doesn't seem that long to have been on a 1 mg dose. I am down more pounds but not the 8-10 he wanted to see.

I lost most of that weight on the .5 mg dose, too.

I saw somewhere online that if you don't experience side effects, it means it doesn't work as well for you. Perhaps that's what he's going by if true because I have zero side effects.

Isn’t this your life and your body? Who cares what your doctor wants if you are pleased? I would personally want to take the least amount of this and any other med for as long as I could. Faster weight loss isn’t necessarily better weight loss.

Ozempic has been in use for 7 years.

FOR DIABETES

Say it again for the dim ones in the back.

Can you summarize here? I’m not taking the med despite being obese and I am curious about their findings.

I have been on Ozempic for 6 years in June. I use it for T2D, not weight control.

It has been great at keeping my blood sugar in check. I have zero side effects while on Ozempic. I had terrible side effects while on Metformin for my T2D. That's why my doctor started the process of testing other T2D drugs.

The Ozempic for weight loss craziness is new, not the drug.
