Ozempic side effects?

Now a year in and 50lbs down, I can’t even feel it.

Is this normal weight loss?

I am down 45 lbs 10 months in and my doctor doesn't seem as pleased as I am. I meet with him this week and at my previous appointment (February) he said if I hadn't lost 8-10 more pounds by this appointment, he was increasing my dose to 2 mg. February 5 to April 5 doesn't seem that long to have been on a 1 mg dose. I am down more pounds but not the 8-10 he wanted to see.

I lost most of that weight on the .5 mg dose, too.

I saw somewhere online that if you don't experience side effects, it means it doesn't work as well for you. Perhaps that's what he's going by if true because I have zero side effects.

I’m not sure. No side effects here, I’ve lost 27 pounds in a year and my Dr seems happy with that. She doesn’t want her patients throwing up or having GI distress though that would obviously cause more rapid weight loss.

So it’s possible that side effect only increase weight loss because you feel worse, not because it’s actually working better.

Down 30 pounds. Aiming to stay in a healthy BMI and not go to an underweight BMI. New small clothes, especially jeans, are fitting amazing.

What harm do you think will be caused to those taking it for weight loss that was not a problem for those taking it for diabetes?

No it is not. DD has it and there is no way I would take one of these drugs, although I could definitely lose 20 pounds.

I have had no side effects, unless you count the side effects of losing 40 lb, and my cholesterol returning to normal range.

I'll be the contrarian. I was on Wegovy for a year & it made me so, so nauseous & affected my mood for the worse (for the 24 hours after the injection).
I lost 40 pounds, though. I truly wish that I were among the people who love it, but I stopped taking it after a family meeting where my spouse and my child voted for me to quit.

+1, also lost 40 lbs in a year and my A1C returned to normal range. Sadly my cholesterol is still high but has been all my life even with a healthy diet.

Did you regain the weight after or did it stay off?

It has stayed off so far but I'm paying attention to what I eat.
