She did some of that for 1989. OP |
You seem a bit off. Calling Taylor greedy isn’t sexist. I maintain requiring the purchase of four vinyls is greedy. I’m chuckling at the person who called me MAGA and assume you are joking. Love your sense of humor! This is greedy when K-pop bands do it no matter their gender. OP |
| I bought her first version. All of them eventually go streaming. |
| She's making hay while the sun shines. Good for her! |
bands realized how much people were paying on the secondary market and decided to capture that revenue. There are a lot of leisure activities that used to be open to the middle class that are now UMC and above (if you think concerts are bad, look at disney) |
Why are you using the word “requiring”? It’s not required to buy one, let alone four. |
|
This is my biggest gripe with her.
This is also why I also no longer feel bad buying her merch on Etsy instead of her website. The quality of her stuff has gone WAY down while the prices have gone up. Ever since UMG took over, the quality is absolute sh!t. Like, I'll stream the crap out of every album. I went to the tour twice. I own one record of each album she's put out, but I'm not buying multiple records to get every song. A friend told me they buy 1 record and then the other versions as CDs to get all the songs. That's insane. Heck, I don't even have anything in my house that plays a CD. My laptop doesn't have a CD-ROM drive. My 2023 car doesn't have a CD player. |
| She’s a businesswoman, and a lot of people are depending on her for their incomes. If you don’t want to buy, OP, don’t buy. She wouldn’t offer the stuff if it wasn’t selling. |
| She isn't the only artist doing this! Beyonce and Olivia Rodrigo two name a couple released multiple versions of their latest albums. In fact Olivia had more versions of GUTS that Taylor had of her TV albums. |
|
You are not obligated to buy.
Welcome to the free market. |

The defensive Swifties on here have the brains of an orange.
Laughable. |
But why do you care if others do? It’s totally within your right to stream her music, go to shows or not go to shows, buy albums are not. My husband and my daughters are way more into vinyl, records, etc. and they love this kind of thing… I don’t own any records, and just stream all my music. I also don’t go to many concerts but they love live music. Different strokes for different folks, but I don’t accuse musicians of being greedy for offering things for people to buy or not buy. |
I accuse any billionaire business person of being greedy. Musician entertainer car manufacturer, marketplace owner. GREEDY. |
| I find the bigger issue with her is threatening a lawsuit against a college kid who is a climate change activist. He is only sharing public information and she and her team continue to harass him while she takes 8 minute flights. |
| You are only a TRUE fan if you shell out the money. Otherwise, you’re not a real Swifty. |
