is there any non-frumpy way to wear cardigan/shrug over a dress?

I agree a blazer or leather/denim/bolero jacket with a sleeveless dress is more in style.

A cropped blazer like this might work https://adoore.com/products/cropped-blazer-black

I like this concept, but the saggy shoulders and enormously wide sleeves would make me look like a linebacker.

OP here. Me too. There’s a certain kind of plus size woman with great proportions and postur and usually big boobs that can pull this type of look off. That’s not me. I’m not even that overweight - just 15 lbs - but it’s all in my arms I swear.

I’m old though. But rich, motherfockers. That’s why I like that website.

Completely hideous.

I’m in the “just show your arms” camp
Noticing a trend in the helpful comments that seem to be to wear something structured vs loose or soft, and coordinating with the dress to enhance the look vs just to cover

Jergens self tanner helps.

OP back. I kind of want women’s vintage suits to come back! Is there any label that does looks like this: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/1950s-womens-suits-history-and-pictures--40039884177629330/
